When you’ve been accused of a DUI, not only do you face potential penalties of fines and jail sentences that the court can impose, but you also face what we call, “collateral consequences”.  Higher car insurance premiums, lost job opportunities and even the ability to adopt children can be impacted by a DUI conviction.  Therefore the time is now to defend your case and remember that an arrest for DUI is not a conviction.  If you avoid a conviction, you avoid all of those collateral consequences.
