If you’re convicted of a DUI in Alabama you face significant penalties, such as high fines, minimum mandatory jail sentences, loss of your driver’s license, and the potential of an interlock device being placed on your car.  There are also what we call, “collateral consequences” such as job opportunities, insurance premiums going up, and loss of other professional type of licenses.  The Alabama legislation is only increasing making penalties more severe for folks accused of DUI in Alabama.
